Nameless Debates is a Discord community oriented around the idea of dialectics and a search for what is true through discussions and debates with those with whom we disagree. It is a playground for ideas and a garden perfect for the potentiation of the intellect.

Our ranking system is designed with the facilitation of this goal in mind — thus, despite its superficial façade of competition, it is in fact geared towards co-operation at its core. We consider the utilisation of fallacies and rhetorical sophistry to be entirely contrary to the point and purpose of this community.

This is a community based around dialogue, not monologue. The central conceptual theme is an overwhelming focus on the free exchange of ideas, opinions, critiques and compliments that emerges from open dialogue.

The goal at Nameless Debates is the progressive elevation of the consciousness of each participant in the conversation. This makes as its prerequisite the condition that all contributors must abide by and respect the ethic of the dialogue.

This idea is profoundly multifaceted — it is embodied in the qualities of charitability and sincerity. It extends to an authentic openness to possibilities beyond the realm of your own perception, and constitutes a genuine willingness to listen to what other people have to say, not for the purposes of rebuking their words, but in an effort to understand them and perhaps reach a space of mutual agreement.

Those who violate it are implicated in the erosion of the vision of this community: freedom of thought.
